How Karaoke Tracks
are made
Have you ever wondered why Pocket Songs
karaoke tracks sound so much like the original songs? How do we
do it? The answer is: great music producers, top-notch
musicians, and ultra-critical ears.
When Pocket Songs decides to make a karaoke
version of a song, we use one of our in-house music producers to
start copying the original song note-for-note. We use the same
music key, tempo (music speed), and recording techniques of the
original. We have karaoke music specialists that are experts in
different genres of music: pop/rock, R&B, Country, Broadway &
Film – we do it all! We then hire professional musicians and
singers to perform the song as close to the original as
possible. For example, most of our Frank Sinatra karaoke CDG are
recorded with a full big band!
Two versions of each song are recorded: one
with the lead vocals (“guide tracks”), and one with only
background music and no lead vocals. That’s what we have 2 lines
of products: PSCDG’s have both versions of each song on the CD,
and JTG’s only include the background music.
Pocket Songs takes great pride in the quality
of their karaoke backing tracks, and don’t release it until it
meets our exacting standards. That’s why when you buy karaoke
from Pocket Songs, it’s like singing with the original band. You
take center stage with Pocket Songs! |
